VELIERO FRANCESCA

The historic sailing ship Francesca, structured with lateen sail, was born in 1955 in the shipyard of Maestro Calafato Giuseppino Feniello d'Alghero. With its elegant and slender lines, it was destined to become one of the most beautiful and appreciated sailing ships in the Mediterranean. The builder, with great skill and passion, chose the best materials for his ship, having it built by highly experienced shipwrights.

The Francesca spent the first years of her life as a cargo ship, sailing between the coasts of Sardinia and Corsica. Later, thanks to her elegance and her ability to sail safely and stably, she became a much appreciated pleasure vessel.

Today, the Francesca is a much appreciated vintage ship that sails through the waters of the La Maddalena archipelago, bringing on board guests who wish to have a unique and unforgettable experience.

The Francesca represents a precious testimony of the Sardinian seafaring tradition and of the mastery of the builders of sailing ships of the island.
